Elementary Honor Orff Ensembles 2024 - February 1-3
We are very excited to announce that David Thaxton and Ardith Collins will be returning to Idaho by popular demand to again co-direct our 2024 Idaho Orff/IMEA Elementary Honor Orff Ensemble at the February state conference! If you were lucky enough to observe this dynamic duo at work with elementary students, teachers, and future music educators at the Nampa conference, you will know that participants and attendees are in for a highly creative and musical adventure! This ensemble is open to any Idaho students grades 4-6 with a music teachers’ recommendation. Students should be able to match pitch, keep a steady pulse, and work collaboratively and cooperatively with their peers. There will be some preparatory work ahead of time for participants for a more polished performance, but much of the learning will take place on site during the conference.
Student fees for this All-State opportunity are $155 and include lunch, snacks, necessary music, and the Idaho Orff/ IMEA Elementary Ensemble T Shirt. The registration deadline has been extended, but please register as soon as possible. Student fees are due on November 30th.
Our Orff team will be looking for adult volunteers to assist with this wonderful adventure! For questions or to sign up to help please email one of us:
