Miranda graduated from Boise State University with a Bachelor of Music degree in music education. She has been a music educator for the past 5 years with the Boise School District, where she has taught preschool through 9th grade. She currently works at Cynthia Mann Elementary and Madison Preschool and teaches Preschool through 6th grade. She has completed 2 Orff levels training courses through BSU and has served on the IOSA Board since 2018. She loves teaching but especially loves finding new ways to explore with her little learners! In her free time she loves traveling to Disneyland!

Falane Gerritsen is a fully certified Orff Schulwerk teacher. Her Level I Pedagogy instructor was Paul Weller, Level II Keri Lynn Nichols, and Level III Roger Sams. Falane has served on the board for Idaho Orff for most of her teaching career including serving as Secretary. She has also presented several times at Idaho Orff workshops. She is very enthusiastic about Orff Schulwerk and the joy it brings her students through exploration and play. Falane graduated with a Flute Performance degree from the University of Akron in 2009 Summa Cum Laude, and a Music Education degree from Boise State in 2014. She has taught for Boise Schools, Kuna Schools, and now teaches in West Ada at Christine Donnell School of the Arts. She teaches General Music as well as Choir and Percussion Ensemble. She has also taught both piano and flute privately. Falane plays 1st flute in Treasure Valley Concert Band under the direction of Marcellus Brown, and also plays flute and piccolo in the Meridian Symphony under the direction of Jim Ogle. Falane is most inspired as a teacher by her mentors who specialize in movement including Dr. Lori Conlon Khan and Matthew Stensrud. She is passionate about including movement and dance in her lessons and shares her joy of creative movement during Orff Workshops.
Falane has been married 18 years to husband Michael who plays Euphonium and is an ICU nurse at St. Lukes Meridian. She has two children, Anthony 14 who plays trombone, and Jeannette 12 who plays flute. Falane and her family enjoy spending time with their animals, and also really love the outdoors and to go camping. Falane also loves making greeting cards and she donates musical themed cards to our Treasures Store to provide music teachers with scholarships for professional development.

Greg Fullmer is new to the Idaho Orff-Schulwerk Association serving as secretary for the board. He has a Bachelor of Music Education, with a focus on choral studies from BYU-Idaho, and Master of Music Education, received from BSU. He has been teaching for 8 years in the West Ada School District, having taught high school orchestra, middle school orchestra, choir, and general music, and elementary general music, orchestra, and band. He is currently at Christine Donnell School of the Arts where he teaches general music, orchestra, and band. Greg enjoys playing the piano, having started at the age of 5, practicing his violin (Linus) and viola (Lucy), and especially enjoys picking up new instruments to learn. He is currently trying to learn the flute, clarinet, and trombone.

Shannon came to Idaho to attend Northwest Nazarene University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Music degree in education, pedagogy and performance. Shannon began her classical piano training at the age of seven, and began singing and playing the clarinet shortly after. She has had a varied performance history including a European band and choir tour, competitions, personal concerts and playing in the Boise Philharmonic.
Shannon has taught jr. high band, elementary band and orchestra, and elementary general music in the Nampa and West Ada School Districts, and piano lab, rock band and ukulele at Idaho Arts Charter School. She is currently the secondary instructional coach at IACS. She has written several musicals for the elementary school level, each performed by around 200 students at the Nampa Civic Center and the NNU Brandt Center. Shannon earned her Master’s degree from Lesley University in Integrating the Arts in the Classroom in 2011, and has completed Level I Orff Certification through BSU. Shannon has been attending Orff workshops since 1989, and has had the pleasure of serving on the board for several years. In her spare time, Shannon treasures spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Her teaching experience of 40 years includes secondary choral music, K-8 general music and private voice. Her area of teaching expertise is the young voice through adolescence.
Mrs. Van Paepeghem is a Level Two certified Orff Music Instructor. She has been a guest presenter at both state and national education conferences and performs regularly as a jazz vocalist at the Sun Valley Jazz & Music Festival and Disneyland. She has served as the Idaho President of the Orff Schulwerk Association for music educators and the Elementary Repertoire and Standards Chair for the state chapter of the National Association for Music Education (NAfMe). She currently serves on the State Board of the Idaho Jazz Education Endowment. During the summers, Mrs. Van Paepeghem has taught choral music at the Young Musicians & Artists' camp at Willamette University in Salem, Oregon, Soundsation Jazz Camp at Edmonds Community College and currently is on the admin team for the NNU Vocal Jazz Camp in Nampa, Idaho.
In her retirement from full time teaching, she is teaching studio voice at Northwest Nazarene University (NNU), has a University Children's Choir at NNU, and is temporarily covering the music education position at Boise State University.

Teresa has served on the IOSA board since 2008 as our Treasurer, Editor, and President respectively. Music has always been forefront in her life; from hosting a jazz radio show to singing in a rock-n-roll band, jazz groups, Boise Philharmonic Master Chorale, and currently, Marimba Boise. Teresa graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Music degree and English minor from BSU. Teresa earned her Level I Orff Certification in 2003 from UNLV. In 2006, she worked on the Idaho Humanities Standards: Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment Task Force. She also earned her Master’s degree from Lesley University in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis on integrating the arts into the classroom in 2007. For her master’s thesis, she wrote “Vernon’s Army”, a children’s book about the importance of washing your hands. Teresa began her teaching career in the Nampa School District teaching elementary general music and honor choir. Her choirs received superior ratings at the Western Idaho Elementary Music Festival every year. Teresa received the Teacher of the Year award from Willow Creek Elementary as well as the Elementary Teacher of the Year award from the Nampa School District in 2010. She currently teaches in the Boise School District. Teresa is the proud mother of 3 children: Ross, who is working on his Doctorate in Philosophy from City University of New York; Connor, who is a screenwriter in Los Angeles; Kate, who is attending Kalamazoo College in Michigan.

Lori has been happily involved in music education for 43 years, including a position in K-12 instrumental and choral music; 32 years in Boise School’s General Music K-6; 10 years in pre-school music at Northview Montessori; as a professor in Lesley University’s Arts Integration
MEd program; Movement instructor in Orff Schulwerk teacher training courses; as a Visiting Music Education Professor at Boise State University; and now as Clinical Associate Professor of Music Education at the University of Idaho. She isn't certain what she wants to do when she grows
up, but she will retire after the Spring 2024 semester to spend more time with her family and elderly parents.
Lori has held the office of Region I Representative for the AOSA National Board (2012 - 2015), Co-Chaired the AOSA 50th Anniversary celebration (2016-2018), and most recently Co-Chairs the IMEA/Idaho Orff Elementary Honor Orff Ensemble with her good friends, Shirley, Miranda, and Falane. She begins national service again with AOSA this July 1, serving on the Research to Practice Subcommittee through 2023. Lori has three children she is extremely proud of – Sidrah, Sharif, and Khadija. Sidrah and Sharif are both counselors in their Los Angeles homes, and Khadija, who works for a documentary film company in London. She and her husband, Ather, enjoy time together at their mountain cabin in Lowman. Lori did Level I training at NNU back in the 90’s, Levels II and III at UNLV in 2003 and 2005, and completed a Master Class under the tutelage of Jos Wuytuck at the University of Mephis in 2007.

Beverly is enjoying her 7th year of retirement. She keeps busy with organizations and running the Orff Treasures group and pop-up store. She manages donations, shops for deals, and coordinates members to make items for the store to sell at Orff workshops, IMEA Conventions, ACDA Conferences, and other sales and events. All funds raised go directly to the Idaho Orff Scholarship Fund for members. She is also very interested in promoting the chapter to get as many teachers aware of the chapter as possible. She helps manage the instrument loan and mentor programs operated by the Treasures group. Contact her for any issues in relation to those operations.
