TREASURES
"Treasures" is a 4 year old faction of the Idaho Orff Schulwerk Chapter made of retired music teachers. The purposes of the group are: 1. To give financial support to the chapter for the purpose of awarding scholarships for professional development and national memberships, 2. To be available to mentor music teachers. These purposes are accomplished in the following ways. 1. Teaching items are collected that can be re-sold and lessons, gift items, etc. are made by the members and made available in a "Treasures" store at workshops and conferences, 2. Members are available at workshops to talk to teachers to provide professional support - lunch soups are provided so participants will stay during the lunch break for these table "chats".
How can you help? Help is always needed in collecting or donating items that can be re-sold, or by making music gift or teaching items for re-sale. New "Treasures" members are always welcome to help fulfill the purposes. Contact Beverly Schumacher at beverlyjschumacher@gmail.com or info@idahoorff.org
